We empower members to be the best they can be, for themselves and for society around them
We do this by providing a structure of support to help you make positive contributions to your local communities, whether it be through fundraising events or volunteer work.
We are a unique members’ organisation that has thrived for over 300 years
Our roots lie in the traditions and ceremonies of the medieval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles.
Service has always been a core principle of Freemasonry.
Whether participating in events, fundraising for a charitable cause or volunteering for public or community organisations, service is at the very heart of Freemasonry.
An Art Deco Masterpiece
Originally built as a peace memorial to honour the thousands of Freemasons who fought during the First World War, Freemasons’ Hall is the home of the United Grand Lodge of England.
You’ll be amongst familiar faces from all walks of life
Throughout history, there have been many notable Freemasons from all walks of life involved in a broad variety of activities. Take a look at some familiar faces.
Integrity - Friendship - Respect - Service
In an uncertain world, our principles ring as true today as they ever have before. Membership is open to people from all backgrounds.
